STARTING LINE
STEP 1: CONVERSATION
When people respond to the altar call, go to them, ask them their name and invite them to the Starting Line at the front left of the auditorium
Ask them what did their response mean for them? Talk thoroughly through believing in Jesus and repenting from sins
STEP 2: LIGHTBULB
After you have confidence they’re sincere and that this is a real decision to follow Jesus, give them a Bible to read and a lightbulb
for the “SOULS MATTER” wall
STEP 3: CONNECT CARD
Have them fill out a contact card and ask their permission to get their contact info on your phone so you can follow up with them (Small Group Leaders and Staff will BOTH follow up with individuals)
STEP 4: BIBLE
Encourage them to consider getting baptized the following week, there’s a QR code at the Starting Line or they can go online at mygateway/tv/baptisms
STEP 5: BAPTISM
Invite Them to Next Steps. Next steps is a great way for New Believers to learn practical steps on continuing their walk with Christ.
STEP 6: NEXT STEPS

The purpose of the Next Steps or New Believers class is to assist newly born-again individuals in growing spiritually. Many new believers lack proper discipleship, leading to spiritual decline. This 4-week course aims to offer practical steps, guided by Luke 5:1-11, to help new believers stay on the right path with God's help and guidance until His return.
