ALCOHOL
As a leader of GFC, your conduct does not only reflect yourself individually, but it also speaks to the body of Christ here at our church. As such, the expectation of a GFC Small Group Leader is as follows:
- Alcohol will not be given in any capacity at small group events.
- Nothing containing or relating to alcohol will be shared on/through social media.
- We do not want to give anyone cause for stumbling who struggles with drinking alcohol as a sin.
GOSSIP
As much as our role as a leader is to provide a place for people to be honest and share unseemly things, it is also our responsibility to protect ourselves and those involved against gossip.
From the beginning, set up the expectation that anything shared in group is 100% confidential and is not to be shared anywhere else without permission. Be empowered to protect your group by addressing gossip directly if it happens.
